This year’s event is of particular significance for Ireland, as it marked our first participation in these championships .Competing against the best of Europe, the Irish team performed admirably and exceeded expectations throughout the tournament. The Irish squad consisted of Brenda Hogan, Barbra Lyons, Stephane Voinot, Sariff Antooaroo, Philip Lyons, Finbar Butler and Meniel Kevin. Their performances demonstrated not only their individual skills, but also the continuing progress of Irish Petanque on the international stage.
